B.K, DJ RON-E, DH and FORTY
Some of our favorite rising K-indie artists have returned to Atlanta for another high-energy night. As those Still Blue lights made a sudden change to green, Atlanta fans cheered as they welcomed opening act B.K, who was accompanied by DJ RON-E.
DJ RON-E started mixing during 2020 when COVID hit the U.S.. He, like many of us, found comfort in music as it seemed to be the only true constant during an uncertain time. “I’m in love with Hip Hop and the culture and DJs are the start of the culture*” and with that love, DJ RON-E took the opportunity to “learn while we’re all locked down”. His favorite genres to mix are Hip Hop and EDM!
B.K will admit that he first gained fame after his appearance on “Show Me the Money 6” (Interview with biaswreckerblog). Some fans have been following B.K’s growth as an artist since before this time; While others had become fans during his performance with his high-energy stage presence, solidly smooth vocals and relatable lyrics.
The venue's energy was taken up another level as the stage went dark, and the venue was filled with nothing but DH’s rap! DH has been performing, alongside the other VISION MUSIC members, since 2017, and found his inspiration from Korean artists like G-Dragon & Bobby. Both artists are known for just simply having fun while performing, which is mirrored in DH’s stage presence.
We were fortunate to have been presented with the opportunity to hear B.K and DH for the first time on September 13, 2022; Where they opened for JUNNY at this very same venue! As the cheers continued through the high-energy stages, new and long-time fans, alike, were then greeted by another surprise guest… FORTY! - - who just released his first single, WYO (What You On?), on March 17, 2023.
