Tribute to Hardworking 9 to 5 Folks: The Story Behind Juju B. Goode's "Mister Lee" Music Video

Welcome back, #SoundLovers! We are excited to share the newly released music video for "Mister Lee" by Juju B. Goode.

Juju describes the video as a tribute to hardworking 9 to 5 folks. "Mister Lee" is a brainchild of Juju, perhaps a reflection of himself, portraying a mysterious character with an ordinary 9 to 5 job—a similar occupation to what Juju had before pursuing his lifelong passion for music. The music video captures the everyday routine of an ordinary man experiencing a midlife crisis while working in a corporate environment in a big, lonely city. The merit of the video lies in its lighthearted and whimsical concept, featuring a handmade brick wall created by Juju and his co-creative, Han Na Kim, from the artist collective OLOU.

The music video was directed by Ryan Cho, an award-winning director known for his work with Zoey and Samuel Seo. With breathtaking visual concepts, Ryan Cho crafted something raw yet personal, showcasing Juju’s devotion to creativity and unique storytelling.

Juju's creative vision shines through in every frame of the music video, blending elements of reality and fantasy to create a captivating narrative. The character of Mister Lee symbolizes the struggles and dreams of many individuals stuck in mundane jobs, resonating with a wide audience on a profound level. The choice of a big, lonely city as the backdrop adds a layer of isolation and introspection to the storyline, inviting viewers to reflect on their own lives and aspirations.

Collaborating with Han Na Kim from OLOU, Juju brings a unique aesthetic to the video, infusing it with handmade artistry that sets it apart from mainstream productions. The attention to detail in crafting the brick wall not only showcases their creativity but also underscores the dedication and passion that went into the making of the music video.
