Welcome back #SoundLovers! We are thrilled to be reunited with our dear friend and the exceptionally talented K-Indie Artist, Lewis Park!

Recently, we had the pleasure of speaking with Lewis Park, a gifted musician originating from the vibrant music scene of South Korea. His music transcends genres, blending elements of alternative rock and hip-hop to create a deeply sentimental and emotional sound, often conveyed through a captivating mix of Korean and English lyrics. It is truly a privilege to engage once again with this multifaceted artist as he reconnects with our audience. During our conversation, Lewis graciously delves into the inspiration behind his latest single, "TELL U GOODBYE," offering us a glimpse into the creative process that brought this poignant piece to life. Additionally, he generously shares anecdotes and insights from his recent mini-tour across the United States, affectionately dubbed 'Tour De Lew,' allowing us to vicariously experience the energy and excitement of his live performances. Check out our interview with Lewis Park below:

K Fuse: First and foremost, it is great having the opportunity to speak with you, again. Thank you for making the time to share an update on your musical journey our readers (#SoundLovers). Since it’s been about a year since we last spoke, would you mind reintroducing yourself to our readers?

Lewis Park: Hey SoundLovers! It’s been a minute! I’m Lewis Park, and I create alternative music that blends hip-hop/R&B, rock, and pop. Since I’m Korean, I love mixing in some Konglish (Korean + English) in my tracks.

K Fuse: Your new single “TELL U GOODBYE” is about saying goodbye to fading memories of a lost love. Can you talk more about the inspiration behind it and the creative process?

Lewis Park: Yeah, of course. The way this project started was actually pretty cool. I did a show with an amazing artist, Soal, in Kansas City last year. After I flew back to Korea, we kept in touch, and earlier this year, he hit me up saying his friend, UM?, a producer and artist, was coming to Korea and wanted us to meet up. So we met in Seoul, had a good chat, and then rented a random studio. UM? made a beat on the spot, and I was instantly vibing with it, so I wrote my lyrics and melodies right there. Honestly, I’m not sure why this topic came to mind, but I used to always see the end of a relationship as just sad and frustrating. It’s hard for me to look beyond that. But for this song, I wanted to take a different angle—to show that we can be chill about it, appreciate the memories, and see the end as a new beginning.

K Fuse: You recently posted a video singing an acoustic version of the song. Can we expect an official release?

Lewis Park: Yeah, I’ve been getting into acoustic sounds lately! I’m still deciding if I’ll release some acoustic versions of my songs. I’ll do it when it feels right.

K Fuse: You’re known for your original sound, fusing K-RnB, K-HipHop, and K-Indie genres. Have you been experimenting with any new genres lately?

Lewis Park: Yeah, I’ve been exploring some band genres like acoustic and Britpop. I’ve been listening to The Rose a lot these days.

K Fuse: What’s currently on your playlist?

Lewis Park: Post Malone - Stay Post Malone - Missin' You Like This (feat. Luke Combs) Juice WRLD - Wasted (feat. Lil Uzi Vert) MGK & YUNGBLUD - I Think I'm OKAY (Sad Version) 4Batz - act v: there goes another vase yanghongwon - GO SLOW The Rose - Back To Me The Rose - Sour The Rose - Time Aerosmith - I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing

K Fuse: If you could collaborate with only one of these artists, who would it be and why?

Lewis Park: Post Malone, no question. I’ve been inspired by him and his music for years now. He’s my all-time favorite artist. It’d be insane if that collab ever happened, haha.

K Fuse: Last time we spoke, you mentioned your hobbies of cooking and fashion. Any new hobbies or fixations recently?

Lewis Park: No new hobbies yet, but I’m always open to trying new things! Nothing’s really caught my attention lately, though.

K Fuse: You just completed a mini tour in Dallas, Oklahoma City, and Kansas City. What was it like meeting your fans while on tour?

Lewis Park: It was absolutely amazing! I met so many people, both long-time supporters and new ones. They're the ones who make my music come alive. performing and connecting with them was so much fun. this tour, 'Tour De Lew,' has been the highlight of 2024 for me. I truly appreciate everyone.

K Fuse: Were there any moments that stood out to you the most?

Lewis Park: Absolutely. Some supporters brought handmade bracelets that matched my vibe, which blew me away. Others shared how much my music means to them and told me their personal stories. My team worked hard on the merch, making sure the design and concept really fit the tour, so seeing people buy it and give positive feedback was a big moment for us. And finally, seeing everyone in front of the stage vibing and supporting me with so much energy was unreal, which gave me so much joy!

K Fuse: Is there anything else you’d like to share with our KFuse readers (#SoundLovers)?

Lewis Park: Thanks so much for reading, K Fuse and #SoundLovers! I’m always grateful for your support. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported me during 'Tour de Lew!' Take care and see you soon! Bye!
