"distraction" Leaves Fans Feeling Empowered and Uplifted with AleXa's Penmanship


AleXa is a solo artist loved by many worldwide, and the news of her comeback had fans on the edge of their seats in anticipation. AleXa is a Korean-American born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Growing up with a love for dance from adolescence, she decided to take those talents and try her hand in competing in Soompi’s “Rising Legends.” With nearly 1 million fan votes to determine the winner through the show, AleXa won the competition and eventually signed with her current label ZB Label. After being signed with the label she competed in the famous MNET survival show “PRODUCE 48” one of the most talked about shows globally. After the completion of the show and the gained international fame from her appearance on it, AleXa made her multilingual debut “Bomb,” in October of 2019 breaking into the Top 10 of Billboard’s “World Digital Song Sales Chart” within its first week of release. 


After making her mark in the K-Pop scene, AleXa landed a deal with the notable agency  ICM Partners, which is home to numerous multi-award winning artists such as Nicki Minaj, Khalid and J. Cole to name a few. Signing with ICM Partners was a big monumental moment in AleXa’s career allowing her to aim for a global debut for the countless amount of adoring global fans. Among the many endeavors she has made her mark in, AleXa is set to make her first acting role appearance in the chart-topping Netflix’s horror anthology series “Goedam.” With numerous accomplishments on her belt such as, Elle Magazine previously naming AleXa as an artist who’s “breaking the mold of the typical K-pop star”, AleXa’s song “Wonderland” earned a resounding win on NBC’s American Song Contest in 2022, a remake of Europe's hugely popular Eurovision Song Contest. “Wonderland” ranked #38 on Billboard’s Pop Airplay Chart, propelling AleXa to the 6th most played Korean artist on U.S. Radio, and the first female Korean act to present at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards.  AleXa made history as the first solo Korean artist to perform at iHeart Radio's Jingle Ball, which is a celebration for the holidays that has taken place for 20 years  in December that brings fans of numerous fandoms and genres together to celebrate Christmas together listening to new artist and their favorite artists all under one shared roof. AleXa also gave her fans ‘A.I Troopers’ an exclusive preview of "sick" on The Kelly Clarkson Show a month later. The new music she's been releasing has garnered widespread acclaim from big credible outlets such as Billboard, Grammy, People Magazine, MTV, and more. 



After one month since her last single release, “I’m Okay” female powerhouse AleXa has released her latest single “distraction” on June 28th. “distraction” is a bold and empowering track that delves into themes of self-worth and the complexities of love. With her fierce vocals and electrifying energy, AleXa delivers a message that resonates deeply with many: knowing your worth in love is essential, and a rebound is never the solution. The song’s lyrics reflect a poignant narrative of refusing to settle for convenience in relationships. AleXa emphasizes that love is a mutual thing, and if respect isn’t here from one party, then it’s time to pack it up and leave. This single release encourages listeners to value themselves and not compromise on their self-respect or emotionalwell-being.

 “I wanted to create a song that speaks to anyone who has ever felt undervalued in a relationship,” says AleXa. 

“distraction” is about recognizing your selfworth and not allowing yourself to be anyone's second choice because you are amazing the way you are. It's a reminder to

everyone that you deserve someone who respects and cherishes you the same way you do for others. "distraction" is the latest in the multitude of English singles AleXa has released in her career, including “i’m okay” and sick.” 


With this new single, AleXa continues to showcase her versatility and commitment to delivering music that resonates with listeners on a personal level. Holding down an almost 5 year career is an accomplishment in itself, but releasing new music consecutively and bringing something new to the table for listeners to enjoy is something that admirable.


Her A.I Troppers are beyond proud of every accomplish AleXa has achieved throughout her career.
