2023.02.12 | P1Harmony Makes History as the FIRST K-Pop Group to take on the world-famous Grand Ole Opry stage right here in Nashville, TN!
After traveling to Atlanta for 99% of our concerts, Tennessee K-Pop fans were finally able to greet the members of P1Harmony in the state's capital city of Nashville. After the release of their fifth mini-album, Keeho, Theo, Jiung, Intak, Soul and Jongseob have made their way back to the U.S. for their second tour, P1ONEER to "always show [P1ECE] the new way and the new sound."
Like many other K-Pop concerts, P1ONEER began with dimmed lights, powered on P1ECE Sirens (the group's official light stick), and the deafening screams of P1ECE as the opening VCR began to play. Look At Me Now, immediately followed, and P1ECE didn't hesitate to show their love and support for P1Harmony as they began cheering when Intak's voice thundered, "Are you ready, Nashville?!?"
Next, P1ECE was welcomed with two fan-favorites - - the first being the rock version of the most recent album's anthem-like title track, Back Down; which was immediately followed by the group's famous title track from their second mini-album, Scared. The group then took a moment to introduce themselves with their well-known introduction phrase, "Plus Everything! Hello, we are P1Harmony." The boys took turns introducing themselves, taking the time to thank P1ECE for coming to the show on Super Bowl Sunday, and expressing their desire to "perform even harder" as they heard they were the first, ever, K-Pop group to perform on the Grand Ole Opry House stage. They continued the show with the more relaxed vibe of MeToo, a single released last August, that was written and composed by the group. P1ECE's energy could be felt coming alive again throughout the three-tiered venue as the group continued with hype songs Doom Du Doom, End It, and Black Hole.
Next P1ECE enjoyed the members' solo and group unit stages, and the first member to perform was Theo. As he stood in the middle of the stage with nothing more than a mic stand and spotlight shining on him, his charismatic charms and smooth vocals were highlighted as he captivated P1ECE's attention during his cover of DEAN's 2016 release 21.
Next up was Soul, as he performed his solo rendition of Jung Joonil's, Hug Me. Sitting on a stool on the right corner of the stage, the audience couldn't help but to give him their full undivided attention. This moment quickly seemed to end too soon as it transitioned to a unit state featuring Keeho, Jiung and Soul as they covered Michael Jackson's, Love Never Felt So Good. Jiung was sure to bring out his inner MJ with his solo dance, before the three members joined each other in the middle of the stage.
Finally, rap duo, Intak and Jongseob, appeared in the middle of the risers to begin their performance of Bow Wow. As they began walking towards the end of the stage with mics in hand and fur coats on their backs, the cheers began to fill the venue. As they showcased their rapping skills and unstoppable energy, they ended the stage by rapping to each other in the middle.
As Intak and Jongseob took a moment to change, the other members arrived in street-style outfits to greet P1ECE, once again, and talk about their solo stages. Soul and Theo asked P1ECE to sing along with them. Once Theo finished, Jiung wanted to "sing a country song that he had been practicing," and asked "P1ECE, do you know Home on the Range?" where he immediately started a beautifully smooth rendition of Home on the Range. Following the return of Intak and Jongseob, the show continued with more popular tracks including their debut song Siren, Mirror, and Follow Me. Next, P1ECE were asked to sing along and "dance along, too, if you know the moves" as they slowed things down with Gotta Get Back.
It was apparent that P1Harmony was going to continue to have fun and more engaging moments with their BFFs until the end of the show as their most anticipated song of the night began. The love-filled tune BFF (Best Friends Forever) started and P1ECE''s voices filled the venue with enough emotion that even P1Harmony could feel the heartfelt lyrics of their BFFs.
The concert continued with the high-energy Nemonade, where the venue experienced technical difficulties as the track stopped playing; which left P1Harmony, and P1ECE, to finish the fan-favorite in acapella, and the boys' mics were audibly on! Keeho made it a point to let fans know, "In two years, this has never happened. At least you knew we were singing live, right?" followed by a small chuckle. The group wanted to put on the best performance possible for P1ECE, so they chose to perform Nemonade, again, after the audio issues were fixed, followed by the not-so-secret-stage of Secret Sauce, and then anthem-like sound of Do iIt LIke This.
Afterwards, a VCR of If You Call Me started playing, and it was apparent that P1ECE were having one of the best nights of their lives! They expressed their readiness for more exciting stages as their screams, and chants for "Piwon!" filled the venue in anticipation of the group's return to the stage.
Sadly, there were only two more stages remaining before ending the high-energy filled night. However, that didn't stop P1ECE from cheering on P1Harmony with their screams while dancing along to Breakthrough and Speaker. These stages were then followed by the Ending Ments stage where the boys thanked everyone for attending and cheering them on throughout the night. Jongseob stole the stage by telling P1ECE they were "part of the harmony." And followed that with, "I have one question. Will you be my BFF?" To nobody's surprise, the venue was filled with screams confirming that Nashville P1ECE would indeed be Jongseob's BFF.
The encore came soon after, and the boys were noticeably filled with happiness as they began their last segment of the night, "P1AY Harmony" by performing One and Only - - which brought on an undeniably bright energy from P1ECEf and P1Harmony - - as thy group made their way through the aisles, receiving gifts and interacting with P1ECE, before making their way back to the stage to end the night with AYAYA and the added, unexpected high-energy stage, That's It.
The boys will continue their U.S. tour with only two stops remaining! So, P1ECE, don't miss your chance to see them in Austin on February 14, and Dallas on February 16.
